What is a Prenatal Massage?
Prenatal massage is customized to the needs of pregnant women and their changing bodies. Prenatal massage is similar to a regular massage it aims to relax tense muscles, ease sore spots, improve circulation and mobility.
How does Prenatal Massage work?
We typically have the client lay on their side with pillows or a full length body pillow for support. The full length body pillow is a special pad with hollowed areas and pillows to accommodate your belly and breasts, so you can lie facedown. It is completely safe and helps us target the lumbar (lower back) area as it is usually achy from pregnancy.
When to get Prenatal Massage?
We typically do not work on the client until she is on her 2nd trimester or when she gets the ok from the doctor.
